This page is dedicated to the dogs who have left us for the Rainbow Bridge or are no longer being used in our breeding program because of their age. These dogs all left a lasting impact on the breed and a lasting imprint on our heart.

"Scout" 5-4-1985 to May 2000
Kei-Rin's Scout 'Em Out, Canine Good Citizen
OFA link for health clearances and pedigree ***Remember to hit BACK button to return**
(Ch. Wildemoors Amscot Cork Bouy x Sadie Hawkins)

Scout was our foundation bitch at Kei-Rin.  She was truly a one-of-a-kind dog.  She was very much in touch with her instincts and her "market-dog" heritage, often found treeing animals or scavenging the shorelines for prey.  She is still sorely missed. Scout was one of those dogs that you can never compete with and one that will never be replaced. She was the best house dog, child nanny, puppy nanny, you name it.

"Belle" 5-11-1990 to 2002
AM/Can Ch. Belle Starr of Kei-Rin
OFA link for health clearances and pedigree ***Remember to hit BACK button to return**

(Ch. Forshee’s Captain Prairie x Kei-Rin's Scout 'Em Out)

Belle was the first AWS female to earn both her American and Canadian championship.  She produced Matt and Levi, who became the backbone of Kei-Rin's AWS breeding program.  Belle had classic type and temperament, to which her owners in retirement can attest.  She lives on in the many beautiful get she produced for us.  She was lucky enough to spend her retirement with Jim and Karen Drzewiecki in Milwaukee Wisconsin, where she made them fall in love with the breed.

Ch. Kei-Rin's Marshall Dillon

(Ch. Kei-Rin's Hawkeye x A/C Ch. Belle Starr of Kei-Rin)

Matt was co-owned by Maribeth Kolarcheck. He won Best of Breed at Westminster Kennel Club and a group placement the previous show year.  He was even more successful as a stud dog for Kei-Rin Kennel.  His offspring were distinct in type and had the most amazing of temperaments. We still see his influence in our line today. MB forever misses her beloved Matthew.

"Levi"
3-21-1996 -2008
BISS AM/CAN Ch. Kei-Rin's Lost Dutchman
OFA link for health clearances and pedigree ***Remember to hit BACK button to return**

(Ch. Woods-N-Waters Royal Flush x A/C Ch. Belle Starr of Kei-Rin)

Levi was the first Kei-Rin bred dog that was seriously campaigned as a show dog. He went on to win the National Specialty as a young dog and Award of Merit and Westminster Kennel Club, along with many lovely group placements.  Levi was Nick's favorite hunting companion right up to the winter that he passed away.  He would even follow Nick to set his traps and make sure everything was done right.  He will be sadly missed and remembered forever.  We see his influence in our girls even today, for example, little Annie is a female version of her grandpa.

"Sassy"  1-27-1997 - 2-21-2011
Kei-Rin's Sasparilla, Started Dog, Canine Good Citizen

OFA link for health clearances and pedigree ***Remember to hit BACK button to return**

(Am/Can Champion Kei-Rin's Marshall Dillon x Ch. Beau's Candie Kiss)

Sassy was the Dam of numerous champions, hunters, and wonderful pets: including Lindy and Leinie (under The Gentlemen). Sassy was everything we could have asked for and more.  She was the ideal brood bitch, and cared for the young puppies until she died.  She took care of all the litters, spotted and curly alike. She was an exceptional huntress and gave the same instincts to all of her offspring. Sassy soft yoddle is forever missed.

"Raven" 7-18-1999 to 2007
Ch. Silver Fall's Dark Raven
OFA link for health clearances and pedigree ***Remember to hit BACK button to return**

(BISS Am/Can Ch. Kei-Rin's Lost Dutchman x Ch. Jeannie's Dark Molasses)

Raven was a once-in-a-lifetime show dog.  She wowed judges with her great presence in the ring and her flawless conformation.  She had attitude a mile high that made finishing her championship a breeze. She was shown to top rankings and earned many wonderful group placements. Her legacy continues through Gidget and Rudy and all of their offspring.  Unfortunately, Raven was only bred once due to complications with her delivery.  She eventually retired to Houston, Texas with family, leaving a huge paw print on their hearts as well. Every litter we have we look for a Raven clone, but she has yet to come along.

"Lindy" born 5-14-1999
Ch. Kei-Rin's Lindy Rigger
OFA link for health clearances and pedigree ***Remember to hit BACK button to return**

(BISS CH. Shadow's Random Traveler x Kei-Rin's Sasparilla, SD, CGC)

Lindy is owned by Mike and Cheri Douglas of Fremont, WI.  Lindy was used at stud in 2009 to produce some outstanding males.  We look forward to Shiloh and Yukon's promising careers in both the ring and the field. Lindy was an excellent hunting companion for Mike in his younger years, but he now enjoys staying home and keeping Cheri company on the couch. He is still going strong, although his selective hearing has become a little less selective.

BISS CH. Kei-Rin's Medicine Man
OFA link for health clearances and pedigree ***Remember to hit BACK button to return**

(Kei-Rin's Bonanza x Ch. Shadow's Libra of J Star)

Doc is pictured above at 8 years of age!! He looks as good now as he did when he won the National Specialty in 2004.  Doc is one of the best moving AWS we have ever seen, let alone bred.  He has great angulation and balance that allow him to out move anyone in the ring.  He is also co-owned by Maribeth Kolarcheck. He keeps her busy and helps her out at the office.

(BISS/BIS Ch. Trabiez Premier Element of Surprise x RockRainbow's Blues Holiday)

Wink is the mother of Dalton, Fergie, and Dottie.  She was a wonderful brood bitch, endowing all of her puppies with her lovely head and sweet nature. She finished out of the Bred-By class, one of three to finish their championships from our first homebred litter!  Wink is retired from breeding and enjoying her old age in Texas.

(Kei-Rin's Bonanza x Ch. Silver Falls Dark Raven)

Rudy never loved to show, but was a huge winner despite himself.  Rudy won WD at the same national his big brother Doc won BOB and his sister won WB/BOW.  That was a fun year!!  After that, Rudy won many group placements and breed wins, topping the charts in 2006 as #1 AWS All Systems, and then went on to win Best Of Breed at Westminster in 2007.  After that amazing win, he was retired.  He has been used at stud to produce some great dogs, most recently Lotti and Na'vi.  He now lives in Finland with his new best friends and family Tiina and Timo Jääskeläinen.

Gidget was unstoppable in the show ring along side her brother Rudy.  They finished effortlessly, and she even went on to compete at the Eukanuba National Championship Dog Show in Tampa, FL, where she brought home Best of Breed, Best Bred-By, and A Bred-By Sporting Group Third Placement.  She is the damn of Ch. Kei-Rin's Mountain Man, who won several group placements and Award of Merit and the 2009 National Specialty. She enjoys her retirement in town with Nick Kozak and her son out of Leinie, Skeeter.
